The difference between a traditional CT Scan and 64-Slice scan is that it allows multiple numbers of X-Ray views to be taken in a series which are then reconstructed together to create an actual picture. They offer a more detailed insight into the internal organs and help make a more accurate diagnosis. This technology is mostly used to analyse soft tissues and helps in detecting tumours, cysts and various other diseases related to the liver, lungs, coronary arteries and other organs.
