TREADMILL TEST

Treadmill test is used to assess the adequacy/compromise of blood supply to the heart and is performed by subjecting the heart to stress generally by making the patient walk on a treadmill while parameters like BP, heart rate and ECG are continuously recorded. It measures the patient's effort and tolerance (especially helpful pre operatively). In simple words, this test is primarily used to help your doctor determine if your heart receives enough oxygen and proper blood flow when it needs it most.
